What lives in the garden yet isn't flora or fauna?
The little guinea fowl family have lived in the front garden for many years. My grandsons play with old coconut shells in the garden. To my surprise one day it appeared the guinea fowl had laid a very large egg. Still waiting for it to hatch to see what's inside ...
Every garden needs at least one fairy. Traditionally they live at the bottom of the garden, but in my case a fairy looks after a pot plant near the front door.
Pig is shy and hides behind the rocks. She's got a white spot on her nose. I think a disrespectful bird put it there.
Just when I think I have wildlife down pat there comes a whole new family of sedentary species I need to study!
ReplyDeleteHi David, So much to learn ... makes life interesting ...
DeleteNice ornaments. I'm anxious to see what will hatch from that large egg.
ReplyDeleteso far nothing, but I'm expecting maybe a dragon?
DeleteThere are naked ladies at the bottom of our garden. I think they scared the fairies away.
ReplyDeleteAnd quirky birds. And an elephant or two. And a dragon. All quite happy, and mostly hidden.
Love the denizens in your garden.
I would expect there to be elephants in your garden, EC!
DeleteThe sea horse lives at the bottom of my garden, he doesn't need sea or some water, he's happy to stay there. Lovely garden decoration, catmint!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see your sea horse some time, Nadezda.
DeleteToday an owl came home with us.
ReplyDeleteUsually they're nocturnal, but maybe that one's a special species?
DeleteThose little guinea fowls are awesome. Love them a lot and also the fairy. Cheers, Catmint and a blessed day :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Stephanie.
DeleteI enjoyed seeing the creatures that inhabit your garden. That pig, bird-blotched though she may be, is my favorite. She found a perfect spot there behind the rocks. I also have a pig but he wears ridiculous overalls. My husband brought him home as a gift many years ago. I "forgot" him when we moved 7 years ago but my husband discovered him and brought him along.
ReplyDeleteHi Kris, funny story, I'm glad my pig doesn't have a wardrobe.
DeleteThere are all sorts of things living in my garden. The guinea fowl family are sweet. I like the big egg too. Still waiting to see what hatches.
ReplyDeleteme too - lol!
DeleteI love the whimsy in your garden.
ReplyDeleteEach telling their own story :)
The fairy is my favourite.
Thanks Cheryl, so glad you like my collection.
DeleteIn my garden lives gnome Joop. He is very direct in his opinion about gardening. Groetjes Hetty
ReplyDeleteI've got a gnome too. Pity we live so far away from each other - we could introduce them.
DeleteBeautiful garden and love all the decorative 'critters' you have ~ my kind of decor too!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy week ~
